I have currently been volunteering as a mentor and coach for the National Psoriasis Foundation going on five years now. Besides helping others who have been diagnosed with psoriasis I am able to be connected to some amazing opportunities like these two: published author and cover model for A Guide to Living with Psoriasis.

The Journal of Dermatology Nurses Association reached out to me for the opportunity to have my psoriasis patient manuscript published in their Nov/Dec journal. I was beyond thrilled. It was a cathartic experience writing about my psoriasis journey from the very beginning. It is not available to the public but if you’d like a copy please let me know and you’re welcome to borrow mine any time 🙂

The other one was for the Guide to Living with Psoriasis. They interviewed me on how I incorporate having psoriasis and living a “chic and stylish” life. You can read the article HERE. This was a fun experience for me because I got to work with an amazing photographer, Todd Spoth and a new make up artist Pink Palette Artist while also telling my psoriasis story. For my wardrobe, I wanted to stay in a color that is very complimentary with my skin tone—in the blue family. I paired this fun and feminine blue tunic with my go-to leather leggings which always photograph well. See below for my looks:

A quarter length sleeved tunic is perfect if you have a psoriasis flare on your arms but still want to look pulled together and professional for work or for running errands — and it’s always appropriate no matter what the weather is.
