If you haven’t heard by now, I am on a mission to not wear any maternity clothes during my pregnancy. I’m six months pregnant and haven’t worn any maternity clothes yet!
There are many reasons but the most important is that when I have tried on most the maternity clothes, I don’t feel like myself in them. The fabric is too heavy, too matronly and overall just doesn’t feel right.
Even when it comes to the office, it’s hard enough trying to figure out what to wear as a woman. But as a pregnant woman, multiply that by 100.
With that challenge, I reached out to my friend Thuy at one of my favorite local shops Wildbloom Boutique and enlisted her help. They have some great flow-y fabrics and dresses that were inline with what I have been looking for. Especially for the office and those working (pregnant) moms out there. Cue the photo shoot with Toni Wood Photography.
I chose fabrics that I knew would accommodate my growing belly:
- bright colors—because let’s face it, you always feel good in bright colors
- Vibrant patterns
- Some fitted frocks—because sometimes you want to show off your bump

When you get to the point where your back is aching a little too much, you can just throw on some flats with any one of these and you still look as great as ever.
What do you like to wear when you’re pregnant? Tell me below.
