With summer finally coming to an end and fall on its way, it’s time to start thinking about our fall wardrobes! I’m here to help with that, but in a way that doesn’t make you feel like you have to go by all the “must have fall items to buy now” #sorrynotsorry I wanted to create a post on closet staples to transition into fall. These are pieces many of you will most likely already have in your closet, with new fun ways of styling outfits for the new season. I will include links to each item in case you are interested in purchasing or checking out for some more inspiration! Keep reading for closet staples to transition into fall.

  1. Wide Leg Crop Jeans

This style of pants was very popular during summer and spring! Lucky for us, this trend is staying with us for fall. Wide leg crop jeans are a perfect staple for a short ankle boot or tennis shoes. Showing just enough leg to make you look taller, but not make you cold. Throw them on with a sweater or a tight tee and open cardigan. Here are a few of my fave wide crop jeans! Also, Rachel and Tammy from Denim is the New Black just posted their fave picks too!

  1. Dresses

If you have been rocking breezy, colorful dresses all summer it doesn’t need to stop here. Throw on a jean jacket or long sweater over the dress and pair it with tall boots to keep you warm but still feel weather-appropriate. If you are looking for extra warmth, you can even add a pair of tan or black tights under the dress. Use any dress you already have in your closet. If you are looking for new dresses, attached are a few affordable dresses to make this look come true!

Sweaters/ Cardigans

Cardigans and sweaters make those summer outfits perfect for fall. Throw on an outfit you would wear in those summer months, add a cardigan and you’re good to go! Longer cardigans are great for dresses or paired with jean shorts for the beginning of fall. Lightweight sweaters that you can throw on with a cute skirt or pair of jeans are the best for transitioning into your fall wardrobe. It’s one of my absolute favorite staples! If you have psoriasis or are living with sensitive skin, remember to choose fabrics that are light-weight and breatheable like cotton, rayon or viscose. Then you have layer as the weather gets colder. Attached are a few ideas for styling the perfect outfit with a simple thin sweater!

Boots/ Booties:

Boots are the truest sign that fall has arrived! Take any pair of long or shorter booties you have been rocking this summer and pair them with dresses, jeans or skirts. If you’re still embracing summer then booties are the perfect transition for you! Throw on a pair with that long maxi dress you have been loving this summer! Another idea is adding a moto jacket with a cute bodycon dress and a pair of short or tall booties to finish off the look. See some of my fave looks below:

Happy fall ladies, get your style on!
