I like to describe my personal style as classic, sophisticated and down-to-earth. So when I recently discovered LOFT, I knew I would be a LOFT girl for life.
Their line is all about keeping it simple but with a classy twist. Plus, they have a PETITE section! Are you kidding me?! For a 5’3” gal that is heaven to my ears. You will be drawn to the chicness and versatility of the line, especially with looks that you can take from the office to a night on the town.
When I found out they were reopening at Memorial City Mall, I knew I (and my wallet) was doomed. Their reopening consisted with the launch of their fabulous fall line. At the launch, I had the pleasure of assisting Kerry Howley, our style editor at Houstonia magazine, put together the following looks:
Look one:
Shirt: Clean Crepe Shell
Skirt: Leopard Print Pencil Skirt
Belt: Beaded Stretch Belt
Look two:
Shirt: Chevron Print Braided Halter Top
Pants: Boyfriend Jeans in Mid Blue Wash
Necklace: Long Mixed Rings Necklace
Look three:
Jacket: Tweed Asymmeterical Zip Jacket
Pant: Marisa Moto Zip Ankle
Belt: Sequin Skinny Belt
I am obsessed with the Tweed Zip Jacket. You never know what the weather here in good ole Htown will be like, so a jacket like this is a staple in your closet for sure. Another FAVORITE look was the Marisa Moto zip ankle. Being “vertically challenged”, it is hard to find a pair of great fitting jeans. So when you find one, buy that style in three different colors. You wont regret it. These are in my shopping bag as we speak and I plan to add two more colors in the same style. The ankle length is perfect for shorter people, because it doesn’t cut you off; and the skinny fit of the pant elongates your legs. Who doesn’t want that?
I had such a blast at this event and can’t wait to post more photos of my fall picks and favorite looks. Which is of these looks is your favorite? And what is a fall staple in your closet?
