You can never go wrong with the fit and flare skirt in the classic combo of black and white. I don’t know about you but I always feel just a bit more dressed up when I don black. Also, the fit-and-flare silhouette is perfect for any body type. Here is my take on the silhouette with a fit and flare skirt and blouse combination.

I paired it with my favorite Chinese Laundry pumps. With the flare of the skirt or dress, you want to be conscience of it cutting you off some times. That’s why these pumps are great because they elongate your legs and you’ll feel like a super model during Fashion Week.

My husband and I were on our way to the AAF ADDY awards at Minute Maid Park. His design of Houstonia’s 6-Pack was up for an award and he WON Citation of Excellence. I was so proud!

On the psoriasis front: my flareup’s on my body are pretty much in remission, cue the skirt and short-sleeved shirt. Wish I could say the same thing about my scalp. You should know by now, that I’m at a great point in my life of not just living with psoriasis but I am managing my psoriasis, cue the black shirt. Those with psoriasis may be scared of wearing a black top for fear of the flakes from scalp psoriasis. Honestly, people aren’t looking at you and your scalp. Know they are talking to you and listening to what you have to say. Once we start accepting that, then psoriasis will just be an after thought, and you’ll be a lot more happier. Trust me, I’ll take happy over flakes any day.
